New in lieu of expired Passport

National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP)
Duplicate NICOP in lieu of lost NICOP

Requirements for Duplicate NICOP in lieu of lost NICOP

  • NICOP form duly completed and signed by the applicant. (Instructions to fill the NICOP form)
  • Copy of Valid Pakistani or US/ Foreign passport or notarized copy of expired passport.
    Copy or number of lost or misplaced CNIC/NICOP ( If you do not have copy or number of your lost or misplaced CNIC/NICOP, you could get the number by visiting NADRA's website (www.nadra.gov.pk) with your old NIC or old NICOP receipt # or call +92-51-9208606 and +92-51-111786100 )
  • 2 recent passport size photographs with white background (front view) not older than 3 months.
Fee
  • $60 (includes DHL home delivery charge)
  • There is no urgent service or fast track service from the Consulate.  

(Fee is non refundable. Fee should be in the form of money order or cashier’s check payable to “CONSULATE GENERAL OF PAKISTAN”. NO CASH OR PERSONAL CHECKS ARE ACCEPTED.)

Processing Time
  • Approximate processing time of a NICOP application is 8-10 weeks.
  • Delivery of card can be delayed due to incomplete/invalid information, missing documents or verification problems.

When applying through mail, send a stamped, self addressed return envelope for delivery of receipt / acknowledgement of your application. (USPS only)

The card will be delivered by DHL mail directly from NADRA headquarters Islamabad to your United States address, mentioned in the NICOP application form. Please make sure that your address on the application is correct.

Tracking of NICOP application
  • You can track the status of your NICOP application after 3-4 weeks by visiting NADRA’s website www.nadra.gov.pk and using NICOP receipt number printed on top right corner of your receipt (omit starting two zeros “00”)
  • You can also call NADRA Call Centre Islamabad directly at +92-51-9208606 or +92-51-111786100 to check the status of your application. If you do not receive your card within 10 weeks you can LAUNCH A COMPLAINT by visiting NADRA’s website. All complaints about NICOP card will be answered only through COMPLAINT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM http://www.nadra.gov.pk/chat/complaint/index.php.
